Laëtitia Atlani-Duault is an Associate Professor at the Department of Ethnology of the University of Paris-X and a member of the CNRS Laboratory of Ethnology and Comparative Sociology.

Prior to this she was an Associate Professor of Ethnology at the Université Lyon II (2003-2007), a Lecturer at the Department of Ethnology of the University of Paris-X (1999-2001) and a Research Associate at the CNRS Laboratory of Ethnology and Comparative Sociology (1997-2002).

In 2008, France's Centre national de la recherche scientifique (National Centre for Scientific Research - CNRS) awarded her its Bronze Medal in anthropology. The CNRS bronze medal is awarded for "outstanding achievement by a junior researcher".
